Project Description

Elemental Strategic Metals operates a lithium-ion battery recycling plant engineered and commissioned by URT. The facility is designed for the processing of lithium-ion batteries under industrial operating conditions.

The plant is configured for a processing capacity of 1 tonne per hour. The process is based on thermomechanical treatment under inert conditions, enabling the recovery of valuable materials such as black mass, aluminium, copper and steel.

A specific feature of the installation is the integration of a dry line concept, allowing the processing of production scrap without electrolyte content depending on the input material.
