Recycling Solutions for

Electric and Electronical Waste (WEEE Recycling)

We develop and operate recycling plants for the targeted primary and downstream treatment of electric and electronical waste – in compliance with WEEE standards.

Überblick

Overview

For the following equipment categories, we develop recycling plants tailored to the customer’s business objectives and compliant with country specific requirements.Depending on the process objective and material stream, the plants are structured into primary and downstream treatment.

  • Primary Treatment

URT plants for primary treatment combine in depth process expertise with economic thinking. Each line is designed not only to meet regulatory requirements, but also to create stable operating conditions over the long term.

Our Strengths in Primary Treatment

  • Reduction of Operating Costs

Through the integration of all key process steps, from depollution to mechanical processing and emission compliant exhaust air treatment, transport and disposal costs are significantly reduced. At the same time, robust equipment and low maintenance system design enable stable long term operation.

  • Efficient Use of Energy Potential

Heat recovery systems, for example from motor heat or exhaust air streams, enable internal use of thermal energy. This increases energy self sufficiency and reduces external energy demand.

  • Integrated Safety and Emission Control

Enclosed process areas, precise extraction systems, differentiated explosion protection including optional inertisation, as well as emission control in compliance with regulatory requirements ensure maximum operational safety, even when handling critical or reactive materials.

  • High Quality Output Fractions

The applied separation and shredding technologies enable targeted material separation of ferrous and non ferrous metals, plastics, glass and other materials. The output can be directly reused as secondary raw material or is qualified for further downstream processing.

  • Automation and Digital Process Reliability

All relevant process parameters, including temperature, pressure, flow rates and exhaust air values, are continuously monitored, documented and visualised via SCADA and HMI interfaces. This enables stable process control, reduced operator intervention and targeted data analysis for plant optimisation.

  • Downstream Treatment

URT plants for downstream treatment combine application specific separation technology with a modular architecture. The systems are scalable, optimised for maintenance and can be flexibly adapted to new material streams, regulatory requirements and return volumes.

Our Strengths in Downstream Treatment

  • Efficient Multi Material Separation with High Purity

The targeted use of magnetic separation, eddy current technology, sink float separation and other processes enables clean fractions for non ferrous and ferrous metals, printed circuit boards, plastics and glass. This maximises material recovery and meets high quality standards.

  • High Economic Value of Output Streams

The resulting fractions are processed to a level that allows direct use as secondary raw materials in metal and recycling industries.

  • Modularity and Integration

URT plants can be flexibly integrated into existing material flows, both in combination with primary treatment and as a standalone solution. Modular expansion enables capacity increases and material flow adjustments at any time.

  • Automated Process Control and Quality Assurance

All separation processes are digitally monitored, documented and controlled via SCADA and HMI interfaces. Sensors and optical systems ensure consistent separation quality at high throughput with minimal operator intervention and maximum transparency.
