Plant in La Baneza (Leon)
- Brownfield solution with integration of anexisting small domestic appliances recycling plant into a combined processingconcept with shared separation technology, robotic detection system with anonline infrared spectrometer to analyse the specific blowing agent per fridge

Project Data
Project Description
A plant in La Baneza (Leon) operates a combined recycling plant for end-of-life refrigerator and small domestic appliances as well as IT devices, engineered and commissioned by URT.
The plant is configured for a processing capacity of 4 tonnes per hour. The process is based on VHC selective recycling. Only appliances containing halogen-free blowing agents are processed within the selective treatment line.
A particular feature of this installation is the integration of an existing small domestic appliances recycling plant into the overall URT plant concept. Both processing lines share central separation and downstream processing technology. This allows flexible operation depending on the selected input stream while avoiding duplicate investment in separation equipment.
The plant layout was adapted to an L-shaped building structure. Cooling device and small domestic appliances processing are arranged in separate sections of the building, with defined interface points where both process lines are connected.
